#GrandCanyon : Moving picture version.
Great part about traveling solo : you ALWAYS meet new, interesting people. Sucky part about traveling alone: you have too many Grand Canyon pale ales with new, interesting people, and the next day have baggy eyes in your mandatory Grand Canyon selfie.
Oh AND there was a double rainbow!
I left LA yesterday. For good (for now). In all the stress of moving, I was starting to question the 7- hour road trip I'd set up for myself. "I'm not leaving the west coast without seeing the Grand Canyon!" sounds reasonable until you're stuck in stopped traffic an hour east of LA at 2am, after a full day of moving and apartment cleaning, and still 60 miles from your "non refundable" room at the Ramada in. But today, driving East, there's less traffic and more rain, and it's mostly wide open spaces - a sight I didn't even realize I was missing. (Another note- I'm not actually in Radiator Springs. I'm making a pit stop at a Chevron. But Radiator Springs makes for a much better location tag.)
